Thermos update
For a while I have purposefully forgotten about my thermos. Mainly because the person I received my thermos from and I were not on speaking terms. Well, we’re talking again, and I’m still not using my thermos.
But at least I know where it is right now. It’s living next to my handsoaps under my vanity in the bathroom. One of these days I’ll take it out, put some tomato soup in it, and enjoy the day.
I think it’s because I am still fairly leery of the reasons why the thermo-gifter is talking to me again. Is it guilt? Change of heart? Completely psychotic? Probably none of the above, but still, my thermos… trusty… waiting… I’ll come back to using my thermos… it’s just a matter of when I’m ready to it.

This is a tough predicament. I have a handmade scarf I can no longer wear because a week after my romantic interest at the time gave it to me, she retroactively ditched me via e-mail (saying she’d done so the day she gave me the scarf. No such sentiment was given, only a very nice scarf).
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to wear it next winter, or ever again. I got almost a week of very proud and happy use out of it at the start of this year, then poof.
I guess this is of no help, but hopefully a bit of consolation.

Your thermos is waiting for you to put your smooth lips on it’s lid while slowly drinking it’s contents.
It longs for you…and deep down, you long for it. Remember the time when your thermos dressed up like a little school-thermos for you and wanted you to tell it what a naughty thermos it was? Or how about the time it wanted you to pour ice cold Sunny D down it’s back? You remember, and your thermos remembers too.
Go back to the thermos, it’s waiting with baited breath….
