Thermos update

For a while I have purposefully forgotten about my thermos. Mainly because the person I received my thermos from and I were not on speaking terms. Well, we’re talking again, and I’m still not using my thermos.

But at least I know where it is right now. It’s living next to my handsoaps under my vanity in the bathroom. One of these days I’ll take it out, put some tomato soup in it, and enjoy the day.

I think it’s because I am still fairly leery of the reasons why the thermo-gifter is talking to me again. Is it guilt? Change of heart? Completely psychotic? Probably none of the above, but still, my thermos… trusty… waiting… I’ll come back to using my thermos… it’s just a matter of when I’m ready to it.

I find it hard to “get over” my thermos. Mainly because I have yet to find a suitable replacement. I was going to buy the one from IKEA, but I keep forgetting about it, and everytime I find one that I love, I am just plain broke at the time and can’t justify spending the cash on something as frivilous as a replacement thermos. I know it seems a little crazy for someone to love their thermos this much, but maybe it is. Maybe I am. Maybe I’m not supposed to get over the loss of a friendship - or replace my thermos.

Who knows.

Cheating on my thermos.

We went to IKEA on Saturday, and were wandering around the homegoods area… I found a thermos that I so desperately want… but I’d hate to be cheating on my current thermos.

But, here’s the issue… the person who gave me my thermos is also the friend who friend-dumped me this weekend. So, I mean, there’s a lot of hurt there. I know it’s incredibly retarded - not to use a thermos because the person who gave it to you is no longer a friend. But it was my going-away present. It made me cry when he gave me the thermos.

So I think I’m going to end up buying a new thermos… it’s orange and striped and polka dotted. If nothing else but to alleviate the pain that is caused by the memory associated with my current thermos.

New thermos is $10. Who wants to pitch in to the new-thermos with new-memories fund?

I’m picking out a thermos for youuuuuu….

I love my thermos.

Scratch that… I frickin’ love my thermos. Like, in a totally non-sexual way. Though, if it were possible, I’d have like, a million little thermos babies or something crazy.

About my thermos - my Paul gave it to me. So it’s like, uberspecial, even though it’s nothing more than a thermos from the Winn-Dixie.

I read the instructions for use today. Apparently it’s important that you “keep thermos away from children”. I can’t make this stuff up.

I’ll post some pictures of the adventures of my thermos tomorrow. Needless to say, they are pictures of me showing my thermos much love.
